Laura Chadwick serves the National Restaurant Association as a Program Director for Membership Engagement on technology, commerce and data security topics. Chadwick is responsible for directing the IT, Tax & Finance and Internal Audit Executive Study Groups and the Association’s annual Restaurant Innovation Summit and Tech Tour events. Previously, Chadwick was a federal lobbyist with the Association’s Government Affairs department, where she focused on payments, data security and intellectual property issues. She led of all aspects of a winning public affairs campaign to stop the repeal of debit card interchange fee protections (the “Durbin Amendment”) by Congress, a top tier priority for the National Restaurant Association in 2017.
Chadwick spent seven years working on Capitol Hill and the campaign trail for members of Congress and five as a federal lobbyist for the Consumer Technology Association. She graduated from Washington & Lee University with a Bachelor’s in Politics and holds a Masters of Public Administration from American University.
