Dan Beranek joined sweetgreen in 2017 to change the food system. Leading Digital Product and Experience Design with both customer and team member product teams, Dan is focused on the experience design function that ties them together to create the most personalized and natively digital customer food brand in the US. Prior to sweetgreen, Dan served as Director of Digital ordering at Starbucks where he led the Mobile Order & Pay initiative from inception to international scale. As part of the Starbucks Global Strategy team, Mr. Beranek also led the redesign of the Starbucks Rewards Loyalty program, and first foray into Personalization. Prior to Starbucks, Dan led User Experience teams at Target.com where he designed the first Target mobile app, led a redesign of Target.com, defined the strategy for Target's presence on social media, and spearheaded multi-channel experience design for Health, Wellness, and Pharmacy. Dan holds a BA from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN.
