Justin Murakami joined the Sprinkles team in June of 2017 and currently serves as the Vice President of Operations. Justin brings 20+ years of Hospitality experience to the Sprinkles team. From his very first job in a local restaurant where he filled all roles from dishwasher to shift supervisor, he was hooked on the business.
Before joining Sprinkles Justin was the Director of Operations for Hopdoddy Burger Bar where he led their expansion efforts into the California market opening 4 locations including the first full service location in Newport Beach. Justin was responsible for the introduction and rollout for the labor management systems including the introduction of not only analyzing labor cost but looking at labor efficiencies to find cost savings in the entire network. During his time at Hopdoddy Justin also rolled out a Guest Satisfaction feedback module through Humm to better understand guests requests and feedback and how they correlated to driving sales.
Prior to Hopdoddy Justin was the Area Director for Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises helping to develop and open new concepts such as Summerhouse Santa Monica, Stella Barra, and M Street Kitchen. While at Lettuce Entertain You Justin helped to develop and start their wholesale bakery business in the West LA market not only serving Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants but neighboring resorts and restaurants as well.
Justin joined Lettuce Entertain You after spending 12 years with The Cheesecake Factory incorporated working in their namesake concept and jumping over to start their second concept Grand Lux Café. While at The Cheesecake Factory Justin served in many roles within the restaurants and at the corporate office. Besides working in 26 different locations around the United States and opening 6 of them Justin was the youngest General Manager The Cheesecake Factory has every promoted in their 40+ years in existence.
